John Goodman has almost 40 years of experience representing clients in residential and commercial real estate transactions. He works with clients in purchase and sales from the drafting and review of purchase agreements, construction contracts, review of title documents, surveys, soils tests, and closing transactions. He also handles drafting and review of architectural, design and construction contracts; leases, mechanic liens, easements, partitions; maintenance and cost sharing agreements; party wall agreements, and various land use and development issues including planning, zoning, and land use; as well as drafting and interpreting easements, encroachments; and condominium association declaration and responsible governance documents. John can assist you in filing or defending a civil action in the event a real estate dispute arises. He also handles real estate property tax valuations at all levels from initial protest, board of equalization appeal, and trial de novo in District Court.
John has participated in the development from the entitlement phase to the construction and sale of over 600,000 ft.² of commercial space, and the development construction and sale hundreds of residential units, ranging in price from $300,000-$20 million in the resorts and communities in and around Vail, Beavercreek, and Aspen. He has experience in mixed-use development, residential and commercial real estate transactions, land use, construction and design contracts and construction defect litigation. John litigated the standard of care for architects in Colorado.
